Ans: There are two legends about the discovery of tea: The first legend is about a Chinese emperor who boiled water before drinking it. One day, some leaves from burning twigs fell into the pot, giving the water a delightful taste. These were said to be tea leaves. The second legend is from ancient India. It tells of an ascetic named Bodhidharma who cut off his eyelids because he felt sleepy during meditation. From his eyelids, tea plants grew. The leaves of these plants, when boiled in water, helped to banish sleep.

Ans: Dhekiabari Tea Garden covers a large area and looks very beautiful. The tea plants are neatly trimmed to the same height. Among the bushes, tall shade trees can be seen. During the sprouting season, tea pluckers with bamboo baskets are busy collecting tea leaves. The garden was managed by Pranjol’s father. Rajvir was amazed by the endless greenery of the garden. From the train, he and Pranjol enjoyed the breathtaking view of the tea garden, with tea bushes stretching as far as the eye could see.
