1. Explain the process of puncture repairing.

Ans: The process of puncture repairing includes removing the wheel fromthe vehicle, locating the puncture by inflating the tyre and checking air leakagein water, removing the foreign object, cleaning and roughening the puncturedarea, applying solution and patch, pressing it firmly, allowing it to set properly, and finally refitting the tyre and checking for air leakage.

2. Give the difference between hot and cold process of puncture repairing.

Ans: In the hot process, heat is applied to vulcanise the patch permanentlyto the tyre, making it stronger and long-lasting, whereas in the cold processno heat is used and the patch is fixed using chemical solution, which is quickerbut comparatively less durable.

3. How is tubeless puncture repairing done?

Ans: Tubeless puncture repairing is done by locating the puncture, removing the object, cleaning the puncture hole, inserting a rubber plug orsealant strip using a repair tool, trimming excess material, inflating the tyre, and checking for air leakage.
